Looking back at Recovery Month

As Recovery Month draws to a close, we wanted to take the opportunity to look back at some of the amazing work our partner members, addiction services, and the NIC community of people in recovery from addiction have done to shine a light on the hope and possibility of a life free from addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Our Chair, Eddie Mullins, has met with dozens of people across the country to do a 5k every day of Recovery Month. He’s ran with people in recovery, Gardaí, nurses, TDs, and more! On his 18th day of running, he was joined by Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly, along with Gardaí from Store St, Bridewell Garda Station, and Kevin Street Garda Station to start a run from the NIC Local Community Safety Partnership!

Tadhg, one of our Community Safety Wardens, has also been doing interviews with people working in the North Inner City in services for people on their recovery journey, including Ana Liffey Drug Project, Frontline MC, and the SAOL Project to highlight some of the work they’ve done for Recovery Month!
