Clean Streets, Safe Streets

Clean Streets, Safe Streets

Clean Streets. Safe Streets

During the neighbourhood meetings held by the Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP), the Community have raised litter as an ongoing issue within our city. The community noted that having clean and unpolluted streets, parks, walkways and waterways were important to make our city feel safer and more welcoming for everyone.

What the LCSP is doing to help?

To help keep the streets in our inner city cleaner and safer, the LCSP are working with communities and local services to help make and keep our streets;

  • Clean and litter free,
  • Free from illegal graffiti,
  • Safe and welcoming for everyone.

The LCSP Team are actively engaging with the local environment too – reporting any litter, graffiti, damage to footpaths/roads, accessibility issues etc.

What can you do to help?

  • Work with us to identify and report litter, illegal graffiti, and damage to footpaths/roads in your local environment.
  • Get involved with community groups local clean-up projects (e.g; Ballybough Pride of Place, Canal Bank Clean Up, etc.)
  • When out and about ‘leave no trace’ – always put your litter in a bin.
  • Recycle where possible
  • Donate your preowned clothes, toys and electronics to local clothes banks, charities, or charity shops – where appropriate.
  • Contact the LCSP with your ideas and suggestion on how to keep our streets clean and safe.

How to report illegal dumping/litter/graffiti?

If you see illegal dumping or illegal graffiti on our streets you can report this to Dublin City Council;
