Bike Safety

Cycling has become an increasingly popular way to travel around Dublin City for both work and leisure. The Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) have been meeting with the community and local services to discuss bike safety within our city. Below is some information on how to keep you bike safe, and what to do if you have experienced bike theft.

Ways to keep your bike safe

    • Take note of your bike’s serial number – this can be useful to help identify your bike.
  • Lock your bike securely when it is not in use.
  • Lock both your front wheel and frame to an immovable object.
  • Invest in a good quality lock.
  • When possible, store your bike in a well-lit, indoor area.
